This workshop is planned as a free event to promote the use of the APRS (Amateur Position Reporting System) and HSMM (High Speed Multi Media) technologies.

APRS provides GPS based location and short message services using existing 1200bps packet radios. HSMM is a ham project initiated to construct and maintain high speed data radio links. Both technologies are of potential benefit to hams working public service, Skywarn and emergency response events. The focus of the event will be practical implementation and deployment for public service / emergency response events.

If you plan to attend, please send an email to n5oom at arrl.net so that you can be put on the email list to receive further information as we get closer to the event.
