This workshop is planned as a free event to promote the use of the APRS
(Amateur Position Reporting System) technology in North. This technology provides GPS based location and short
message services. The technology is of potential benefit to hams working
public service, Skywarn and emergency response events. The focus of the event
will be practical implementation and deployment for public service / emergency
response events.
